Avaire^® Porcelain Tile Care & Maintenance

With proper care and maintenance, your Avaire^® porcelain tile floor is made to be highly durable and long-lasting. Porcelain tile is naturally stain, scratch and moisture-resistant, so it will not be easily damaged by typical household staining agents like wine, mustard and juice.

AFTER INSTALLATION

After installation you may resume light traffic on the floor after 24 hours. Normal traffic can resume after 72 hours.

REGULAR CLEANING

• Avoid using cleaning chemicals on your floor for one week.


• Avoide using commercial enzyme-based cleaners, vinegar or steam mops


• Regular sweeping or vacuuming and damp mopping is recommended to keep your floor looking its best.


• For deep cleaning, or to address messy or sticky spills, use a detergent cleaner designed for porcelain tile. Ensure the product DOES NOT contain any wax products (usually listed as paraffin wax or oil); you may also use a solution of 1 cup bleach to 1 gallon of warm water.

GROUT CARE

Avaire^® Flexible Grout is self-sealing but will still require periodic cleaning; especially in high-traffic areas. A cleaner such as SoftScrub^® with Bleach and a soft-bristled brush should remove any accumulated dirt. Cleaning your grout lines monthly or quarterly will make your Avaire porcelain tile floor easier to maintain.
