Wet saws are almost as expensive to rent as buying one, especially if you have more projects down the road, so we are considering buying a wet saw.

What HP motor would be the least we should use on the Avaire Tile. I see the more HP, the higher the price. We don't want to spend too much money, but we also don't want to buy something too small for the job. We do plan to use the saw on at least 2 more projects.

I also saw the comments on doing straight cuts with an Angle Grinder. Will it work as well??? We have access to a grinder, just need to buy the blade.

We are currently working on a 1/2 bath.

Yes,you can use a angle grinder for all your cuts but expect a lot of dust. Also a rotozip with the blade adapter and a dry diamond tiped blade works well.

Would using an angle grinder and a diamond blade work for a large number of tiles? I have about 16 tiles I need to cut in half.

yes an angle grinder would work but the more cuts you have the easier it would be with a wet saw.(grinders create a lot of dust) Joe Fuller ph#402-709-8432
