HOWEVER:

Typically the baseboard is removed and reinstalled after and on top of the new tile. This procedure in itself can sometimes open a bag of worms you don't want to deal with at which time you can resort to adding quarter-round or shoe-mold.

At any rate you don't want the tile to jamb-up tight against any fixed object. A minimum spacing of 1/8" to 1/4" should be allowed between the tile and any object. That space can then be caulked to allow for the necessary expansion (and contraction).

If the base is removed or an additional molding is added no caulk would be required but the gap is still prefferable.

The wall molding is either wall base or quarter round. If it's base then just install the avaire tile up to the base and cover the expansion space with quarter round, if you have quarter round at the carpet area then the quarter round will have to be removed and cut at the transition between the carpet and the avaire tile because it's at different heights. either way is pretty common.
grouting is something you won't have any problem with, the grout is easy to work with,be sure to do small areas at a time, the website has some tips to ensure your first time grouting goes well.
let me know if this helped.

I HAVE MOLDING ALONG THE WALL THAT WILL COME INTO CONTACT WITH BOTH THE AVAIRE TILE AND CARPET. WHAT CAN I DO THAT WILL MAKE A NICE FINISH LOOK FOR BOTH? THIS WILL BE THE FIRST TIME THAT I HAVE DONE ANYTHING LIKE THIS. WHAT IS THE BEST AND EASIEST WAY TO DO THE GROUT (SO I DON'T MESS IT UP)?
