Typically you would not grout at the tub, caulk only. That juncture should have an opportunity to absorb some expansion and contraction over time. Caulk affords that opportunity, grout does not.

Applying caulk over grout would help to seal, but in reality the grout should be removed.

Caulk along tub or not?

Our floor is layed and we've grouted. My husband grouted along the tub and is wondering if we should caulk over the grout to keep the water out? We left the necessary gap and grouted within it, is it a good idea to caulk as well or unnecessary?
