Author: Jonathan Date: 4/7/2008 8:55 pm EDT Yes, Avaire tile is compatible with in-floor radiant heating systems. As long as the system is compatible with various engineered wood, which typically require a temperature of 85F or less, it will be fine with Avaire tile. Technically, we require the temperature to be less than 115F, which far exceeds the maximum temp reached by most in-floor systems. You'll want to double check with your radiant floor system specifications to ensure the max temp is less than 115F. I recommend QuietWarmth, which is a very cost effective, easy-to-install, radiant floor system. See www.quietwarmth.com for details. I have it in my bathroom under Avaire tile - I love my warm bathroom floor! |
