Sorry,you can't install Avaire tile over carpeting. There are too many variables on the types of carpets that it can't be approved. But if you do decide to do it make sure the carpet is very very thin and the floor is very very flat otherwise the excessive movement will cause persistant grout problems and may result in cracked tile.I would remove the carpet. Hope this helps.

I am planning on installing Avaire tile in my laundry room that is currently covered by a thin carpeting that is glued down to concrete. Rather than going through the work of tearing the carpet out, is it possible to lay the Avaire tile directly on top of the carpeting? If so, what sorts of issues could I expect?
