Install over exsisting small tile?

Can I install the 12x12 over exsisting 1x1 tile? It is a very old flooring that was under carpet.

You can indeed install Avaire over existing tile as long as the surface is flat and stable. If there are any loose pieces, you'll need to remove them and fill the area with a self-leveling compound.
