We moved into a new house and the tile in the bathroom is in good shape but not the color we want. Can avaire tile be instaled over the existing tile?

Yes, you can install Avaire over existing tile. Make sure the existing tile is flat and firmly attached. If there are any high-spots, you'll need to knock them down. Or if any low areas, fill with a self-leveling compound.

If you are installing above existing tile, you will be adding roughly 9/16th of an inch to the floor height. Make sure to check clearance for doors and cabinets.

If the existing tile is on cement board the additional height from the Avaire floor may also require an extention on the toilet flange. If youre not sure maybe consult a plumber.
