cure time of grout

On the container of grout, it says to let the grout cure for 72 hours. Does this mean you can't put anything on the tile during this time. I have put the Avaire tile in my laundry room and I have my new washer and dryer being deliverd in two days.

You can install your new washer and dryer even after 48 hours. Be careful as the grout could be scratched by the appliance feet. If that happens, just apply a repair layer later.

Would I be able to use the washer after 48 hours or would the vibration of movement do something to the grout?

(Sorry for the delay in the public response - we did respond privately to Lisa).

If possible, we'd suggested avoiding vibrations from the washer for another 48 hours.

As a reminder, after you grout:

Avoid use for 24 hours
Only light traffic from 24-72 hours
No cleaners, staining materials, or scrubbing for 7 days
