Finish for tile

After cleaning residual grout off of installed tiles, I believe some of the finish came off after probably scrubbing too hard.
Is there a finish one can apply directly to newly installed - I would like something a bit glossier.

There isn't a finish on the tile that would come off from grouting the floor and you have to be careful when you start to put finishes on the floor because they wear off unevenly and you will have to reapply often.

Is there a sealant on the tile?
Could you apply a sealant?
