There is a straight forward method for replacing a broken tile.
First, cut out the grout from around the broken tile. Next, cut the interlocking teeth on three sides. Then lift out the broken tile. Next, apply a general purpose construction adhesive on the floor. Snap the replacement tile into the 4th side. Last, re-grout the area.
