i really didn't want to put anyother molding along the baseboard if i did that it would throw baseboard off for the entire dining room. the foyer is ajacent to the carpet in the dining room without any dividers. once you come into the foyer it is just one big room in front of you. the baseboard starts at the door jamb and goes down the wall on the same side of the door and the tile (approx 3'). there will be just a small amount of tile before the carpet starts.
