The need for cutting interior doors is routine when adding tile to an existing floor surface. It doesn't have to be done in all cases of course but sometimes it becomes necessary.

In your case with by-pass doors there should be a fixture on the floor to guide the passing of the doors. If this is the case that fixture should be removed and reinstalled atop the tile. It can be glued in place as long as the piece is allowed to remain undisturbed until the adhesive has had time to fix itself totally.

The door(s) then should be measured for proper clearance and cut off to accommodate the opening. The bottoms of those doors have a small amount of wood stock inside to allow for cutting the doors.
