Jill the rule of thumb in tile installation is to never grout a change in plane or when adjacent-to dissimilar materials. Colored caulks are available that will closely (if not perfectly) match any grout that is made.
Home Centers sell the colored caulks in the most popular colors and other colors can be special ordered.
