Date: 5/24/2009 8:31 am EDT Hi I am installing tile in our kitchen and I have a sliding glass door and the cabinets to deal with. Do I grout the line closest to the kickplate and up to the sliding glass door? I of course will have to caulk by the sliding glass door if I don't grout. Will I caulk along the kickplate if I don't do a grout line right next to it? Is it possible to do a grout line that close? My husband thinks we should grout right up to the kickplate so it looks like the tile is underneath. thanks, Erica |

Date: 5/25/2009 8:34 am EDT We typically recommend using a color-matched caulk around the outside perimeter. For the groutlines that are perpendicular to the kick-plate, you can grout right to the edge so it looks like the tile goes under the kick-plate. |
