Underlayment

I want to butt the Avaire tile up to my hardwood using only a flexible grout line for a transition. I am 1/8" lower on the tile side. The underlay from the laminate flooring I removed is exactly the thickness I need. Can you lay Avaire tile over wood laminate underlay?
