cleaning sticker residue from top of tile

I noticed that as I pulled the tiles from their boxes, quite a few had paper/ sticker residue on top from the tile that was packed above it. I cleaned the sticky off w/ goo gone but when the tile is damp, I can make out words from the paper that was resting on it. How can I clean these tiles? I'm ready to grout, but don't want to risk the tiles looking like this when I'm finished.
